1995 - 2007
I always enjoyed tinkering with electronics and computers as a kid. From Commodore 64, to tearing apart anything electronic, and then eventually I progressed into developing websites. Coming out of High School I knew I wanted to pursue a career in IT. I joined the University of Texas at Arlington and played hockey (goalie) while working on my CSE degree. It was here that I got my first full time job in the IT industry as a Help Desk Technician.
Over the next 10 years I made my way up the ladder on the Infrastructure-side of IT. I moved into Systems Administration, Network Administrator, Supervisor, IT Manager and ultimately into an IT Director role. I got a ton of hands-on experience, various MS, ITIL, CSM (Scrum), and VMware Certifications, and priceless Project Management experience.
2008 - 2013
At this point the iPhone was in full swing and total peaked my interest. I started learning Objective-C and building on my existing Java knowledge. It was during this time I stumbled upon Titanium (in its earliest stages) and began to dig deep into their SDK. I spent 5 years beginning to shift my expertise from the 'Infrastructure' side to the 'Software' side of IT.
2014 - present
I finished my transition and began, full-time, working on Mobile Applications Development in both a hands-on development aspect as well as a Product Owner. Today I work with numerous clients to asses Business Requirements, groom backlogs, provide wire-frames/mockups, and development cross-platform applications for both iOS and Android.
